Rocky Off-Duty: 22 June 2008

It's been a while since I've blogged here, but the good news is that I've signed an agreement with Gallaudet University Press to publish a collection of my full-length plays Playing It by Eye: Stage Plays about the Deaf American Experience, which is slated to appear in the fall of 2009. (That should be my tenth book; I'll talk more about it once its cover is ready for all to check out, probably next spring.) I'm also working on a pair of one-acts which I hope will be produced in St. Paul this September. (More information to come as soon as they're confirmed, of course.) And yes, Rocky and I have been enjoying this gorgeous weather. Our buddy Steven Wilhelm shot a number of us romping around on the field next to the Walker Art Center earlier this morning, so please feel free to enjoy this very short film of slides, which I've called Rocky Off-Duty: 22 June 2008. There is so much sunshine and goodness in my life, for which I am eternally grateful.

Oh, I'm so sorry to hear that you had such trouble with your other dog, but I'm so happy that you've found another dog to love. There's never enough love to go around in this world, so dogs are a wonderful reminder of how much we need to learn that invaluable lesson of love. Unfortunately it seems that so many of us never seem to master that lesson.

Thanks for stopping by!
