What a year, and it's barely begun!
These past few days have been a bit nerve-wracking in preparation of my first panel discussion tonight about the Deaf GLBT community, which I will moderate in support of my anthology Eyes of Desire 2: A Deaf GLBT Reader. But I'm very grateful to the Loft Literary Center for being so supportive of my efforts to make the event truly accessible to all. Minneapolis is so lucky to have such a cool place to call their own.
Tomorrow I will meet my new dog's trainer whom I will be working with next week, so I'm looking forward to that. (Yes, it's truly hard to believe that I will have a new service dog a week from tonight.) Lou will no doubt take a few pictures of my new dog when he arrives; I'm sure he will post some online then.
After meeting my new trainer, I will then go to the Minneapolis Institute of Art to take in the Georgia O'Keeffe show before it closes on Sunday.
On Sunday afternoon Lou and I will go see the sign-interpreted performance of the hit Broadway musical AVENUE Q. All in all, it should be a fun weekend, but there's never enough time to have more fun. :-/
Still, I wish you all a most Happy New Year!
